Job description

OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: Support the bar during service by preparing the setup, organizing supplies, and assisting the floor team according to hotel standards. Maintain stock, cleanliness, and proper functioning of the bar and equipment.

  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Check stations for adequate stock of silverware, dishes, napkins, ice, and condiments.
  3. Maintain stock and freshness of garnishes, juices, and perishables daily.
  4. Adhere to departmental policies, service procedures, and standards, ensuring high-quality service.
  5. Know and comply with all service requirements, including beverage knowledge, pricing, glassware, and special requests.
  6. Follow state liquor regulations strictly, especially regarding minors and intoxicated persons.
  7. Operate and maintain equipment correctly.
  8. Complete opening duties: stock setup, requisition supplies, prepare garnishes, check equipment, and ensure cleanliness.
  9. Transport and set up the bar at assigned locations, ensuring security.
  10. Prepare drinks according to recipes, provide club service, and manage guest inquiries about hotel services and local attractions.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas, replacing ashtrays and removing soiled wares.
  12. Monitor supplies, replenish as needed, and ensure proper authorization for additional costs.
  13. Transport and break down the bar after service, and complete consumption reports and spill sheets.
  14. Optimize supply usage to meet budgeted costs and prevent waste.
  15. Use chemicals safely according to OSHA and hotel standards.
  16. Complete closing duties: store reusable items, clean equipment, secure liquor and supplies, remove trash, and finalize reports.
  17. Count cash, complete cashier reports, and secure the bank.
  18. Adhere to brand and LQA standards, representing the brand professionally at all times.
  19. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications: Minimum 21 years old, with at least one year of bartending or barback experience. High school diploma required. Must be detail-oriented, organized, calm under pressure, and a team player. Technical skills include familiarity with P.O.S. systems, physical ability to transport supplies, and alcohol awareness certification. Fluency in English required; additional languages preferred. Physical endurance and good communication skills necessary.
