Job Title: Carpenter for Advertising and Event Exhibitions
Summary:
The Carpenter for Advertising and Event Exhibitions is responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of temporary structures, props, and set pieces for advertising and event exhibitions. This includes working with blueprints, cutting and shaping wood, and using a variety of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Cut and shape wood to specified dimensions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and hammers.
- Build, install, and maintain temporary structures, such as stages, booths, and displays.
- Fabricate and install signage, such as banners, posters, and lightboxes.
- Construct props and set pieces for events.
- Repair and maintain existing structures and fixtures.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Work with other tradespeople, such as electricians and painters.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in carpentry.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30KG.
- The employee is frequently exposed to fumes, dust, and chemicals.
