Job summary

Kerzner International's One&Only The Palm Dubai is seeking a Commis II to join the culinary team. You will assist in preparing authentic Italian dishes, maintain mise-en-place, and support senior chefs to uphold high standards of quality and hygiene in a luxury hotel setting.

The role requires 1–2 years in a quality hotel, resort, or restaurant, with strong English communication and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in Italian cuisine preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, cooking, and presentation of Italian dishes.
• Maintain mise-en-place and ensure smooth daily operations under senior chefs.
• Ensure hygiene, food safety, and proper storage/stock rotation (FIFO).
• Support in training Commis III and kitchen trainees when needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen sections to ensure timely service and quality.
