Job summary

Commis I role at One&Only The Palm in Dubai supports the kitchen team to prepare high-quality Italian dishes, maintain hygiene, and assist in daily operations. You will work closely with senior chefs, ensure mise-en-place, and help deliver an outstanding dining experience for guests.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a quality hotel, resort, or restaurant, with strong English communication and a passion for food quality, presentation, and teamwork. Knowledge of another language is an advantage.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a quality hotel, resort or restaurant.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, cooking and presentation of Italian dishes to resort standards.
• Prepare mise-en-place and ensure ingredients are ready before service.
• Support senior chefs and daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain hygiene, HACCP compliance and portion control.
• Receive, store and monitor stock levels; maintain kitchen cleanli ness.
