Job description

Our client, a chemical supplier in the UAE, is currently seeking an experienced IT Support Executive to join their team. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Hardware & Infrastructure Support
  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, servers, cameras, access control devices, and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure proper functioning of all IT hardware.
  • Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for hardware-related issues.
  • Microsoft 365 & Cloud Services Administration
    • Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
    • Support email and collaboration tools including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint Online.
    • Handle onboarding laptop setups, including imaging, application installations, and account configurations.
  • Network & Connectivity
    • Monitor and support internet and internal network connectivity.
    • Coordinate with service providers such as Du or Etisalat for telecom and internet services, including installation, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • IT Helpdesk & Support Operations
    • Act as the first point of contact for IT issues within the Dubai office.
    • Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using ManageEngine ticketing system.
    • Provide remote support for offsite employees and escalate issues as needed.
  • Asset & Documentation Management
    • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and software.
    • Document system configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
    • Ensure all IT equipment is tagged and records are regularly updated.
  • General IT Operations
    • Ensure secure disposal and data wiping of retired IT equipment.
    • Maintain physical security of IT infrastructure, such as server room access.
    • Train staff on basic IT procedures and best practices.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • At least 3 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment.
    • Strong hands-on experience with hardware (laptops, printers, access devices, etc.).
    • Proficiency in Office 365 administration, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
    • Experience with ManageEngine or similar ITSM tools.
    • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
