Job description

Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financire Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint an IT Support Engineer to be based within the Dubai office.

Main responsibilities within the IT Support Engineer position include:

  1. Providing first-line support for hardware, software, network, voice, and dealer board issues.
  2. Setting up and managing user accounts across Active Directory, Azure, and internal applications.
  3. Installing and configuring PCs, laptops, tablets, monitors, and related peripherals to company standards.
  4. Maintaining and supporting software updates, printers, and corporate mobile devices.
  5. Collaborating with project teams, third-line support, and UK-based network teams as needed.
  6. Supporting remote users, office relocations, refurbishments, and new office fit-outs.
  7. Managing IT inventory, procurement, invoicing, and maintaining up-to-date asset records.
  8. Overseeing server room equipment, including installation and cabling, and managing employee access.
  9. Being flexible with working hours, including occasional on-call support and extended hours when required.

Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the business.
  2. Proven ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  3. Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019, and Microsoft SCCM / Endpoint Configuration Manager.
  4. Hands-on experience with PC hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  5. Familiarity with Citrix environments, change control processes, Bloomberg terminals, and Zoom is desirable.
  6. Experience with Trading Dealer Board systems is highly advantageous.
