What you'll do:
As an IT Support Engineer, you will manage your site’s IT infrastructure, collaborate with the business and engineering teams to maintain and improve systems, and support daily operations. You will also have opportunities to participate in projects and drive innovation as part of a multinational team committed to high-quality results and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal performance of all IT equipment and infrastructure, meeting KPIs and SLAs.
- Lead projects to implement changes or additions to the technology infrastructure, aligning with evolving business needs.
- Supervise and manage a team of IT technicians, including workload distribution and reporting to management.
- Review, revise, and execute change management requests.
- Maintain the availability and efficiency of IT equipment, seeking continuous improvements and cost reductions.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance with IT and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and external suppliers, communicating technical issues effectively.
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, providing technical support and documentation.
- Support ad-hoc requests, assisting a broad customer base as needed.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Experience supporting Linux/Unix and MS Windows systems.
- Knowledge of networking, including LAN/WAN, Wireless, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and OSI model.
- Telecom expertise, including VOIP/SIP and mobile technologies, is advantageous.
- Customer-facing technical support experience with strong communication skills.
- Leadership experience, including supervising or leading technical teams.
- Project management skills and technical execution experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, managing multiple priorities with professionalism.
- Excellent documentation skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Vendor certifications in Linux/Unix, Windows, Cisco, or related fields are beneficial.
- Educational background in IT/ICT.
- Experience in dynamic, customer-focused environments and help desk support.
- Ability to support Fulfillment Centre Automated Systems and coordinate IT changes with support groups.
