Zahr Freighters is seeking an IT Support Engineer in Dubai to maintain and support the company’s IT systems and technology infrastructure. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, manage user accounts, and support business applications across freight forwarding operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience as IT Support Engineer, IT Technician, or Help Desk preferred.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and IT-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot OS, application, network, and connectivity problems.
• Set up and manage user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
• Support Windows, Microsoft 365, and other business applications.
• Monitor basic network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
• Perform routine system updates, software installations, and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with data backup, recovery, and protection procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, and support requests.
• Support logistics and freight forwarding software used for shipment tracking and operational activities.
• Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Implement basic IT security measures, including antivirus updates and access controls.
• Coordinate with external IT service providers and vendors.
• Prepare technical reports and document solutions to recurring IT problems.
• Follow company IT policies and data protection procedures.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, and common office applications.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of IT security, antivirus tools, and data backup procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with different departments.
