Job Description
  • You are responsible for assisting the departments in the operation of all computer hardware and/or software installation and maintenance.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware and/or software.
  • Manage the technology/asset lifecycle, ensuring necessary equipment (PCs, servers, telecom-related devices) is ordered and available.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity related to technology.
  • Identify and resolve system performance problems.
  • Maintain the security and proper maintenance of technology assets in accordance with Sofitel policies and standards.
  • Install, monitor, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cabling, providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Perform adds/moves/changes/deletions.
  • Support end-user mobile phone issues.
  • Troubleshoot high-speed Internet access problems.
  • Escalate issues appropriately through the IT Manager.
  • Support desktop imaging, software installation, patching, and network drive mapping.
  • Support hardware issues by escalation to hardware partners, including computers, servers, routers, switches, and other active components.
  • Ensure all IT policies and guidelines are applied, and only licensed applications are used.
  • Manage hardware and software inventories, logs, and configuration records.
  • Monitor performance and maintain logs of system malfunctions and solutions.
  • Install and test corporate-approved application updates.
  • Implement preventive maintenance timely for all IT hardware and software.
  • Take full charge of the IT department and related issues in the absence of the IT Manager.
  • Check daily backups, system interfaces, server hardware, and logs.
  • Assign tasks, train, and support IT staff following corporate standards.
  • Follow up on claims, document correspondence, and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Have strong knowledge in LAN, Security, Wireless, IP Telephony, and hospitality-specific solutions like Micros, Fidelio, Opera, Sun System.
  • Uphold Sofitel values, brand standards, appearance, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Implement departmental policies and ensure friendly, courteous, and professional service.
  • Adhere to timelines and complete daily IT procedures promptly.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Previous hotel IT experience preferred.
  • Strong guest orientation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
