Job Description
- You are responsible for assisting the departments in the operation of all computer hardware and/or software installation and maintenance.
- Serve as a secondary contact for servicing all computer PC hardware and/or software issues.
- Manage the technology/asset life-cycle, ensuring necessary equipment (PCs, servers, telecom devices, etc.) is ordered and available.
- Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place for technology systems.
- Identify and resolve system performance problems.
- Maintain security and proper functioning of technology assets according to Sofitel policies and standards.
- Install, monitor, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cabling, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Perform adds/moves/changes/deletions for telecommunications and network setups.
- Support end-user issues related to company-provided mobile phones.
- Troubleshoot high-speed Internet access problems.
- Escalate issues as appropriate through the IT Manager.
- Support desktop environments by imaging desktops, installing software, applying patches, and network drives mapping.
- Support hardware issues by coordinating with hardware partners, including computers, servers, routers, switches, and other active components.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, using only licensed and original software.
- Manage data migration, hardware and software inventories, and configuration records.
- Monitor system performance, maintain logs, and report issues.
- Install and test approved software updates and changes.
- Implement preventive maintenance for all IT hardware and software.
- Take charge of the IT Department and related issues in the absence of the IT Manager.
- Oversee daily backups, system interfaces, server hardware, and logs.
- Assign tasks, train, and support IT staff according to corporate standards.
- Follow up on claims, document troubleshooting activities, and coordinate with suppliers.
- Maintain expertise in LAN, security, wireless, IP telephony, and various hospitality solutions and software.
- Represent Sofitel values, brand standards, and hygiene guidelines.
- Ensure friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
- Adhere strictly to timelines and daily IT procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Previous hotel IT experience preferred.
- Strong guest orientation and conflict resolution skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong leadership qualities.
