Job Description
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
You are responsible for assisting the IT Manager in the operation of all computer hardware and software installation and maintenance.
- Serve as a secondary contact for servicing computer PC hardware and software.
- Manage the technology/asset life-cycle, ensuring necessary equipment (PCs, servers, telecom equipment) is ordered and available.
- Responsible for disaster recovery and business continuity related to technology.
- Identify and resolve system performance problems.
- Ensure technology assets are secure and maintained according to company policies and standards.
- Handle data communication tasks.
- Install, monitor, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cabling, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Perform adds, moves, changes, and deletions.
- Support end-user mobile phone issues.
- Troubleshoot high-speed Internet access problems.
- Escalate issues appropriately through the IT Manager.
- Provide desktop support, including imaging desktops, installing software, applying patches, and network drive mapping.
- Manage PC/multimedia moves, additions, changes, and data migration when necessary.
- Maintain inventory of computer supplies.
- Keep logs of hardware and service calls.
- Manage configuration records, program, and data files on the system.
- Monitor software performance, maintaining logs of reports, errors, and solutions.
- Install and test approved program updates.
- Implement preventive maintenance for hardware and software.
- Take charge of the IT Department and related issues in the absence of the IT Manager.
- Check daily backups, system interfaces, server hardware, and logs.
- Manage the IT Clerk, assign daily tasks, and train on procedures and troubleshooting.
- Follow up on claims forwarded to the IT Department.
- Document and archive correspondence, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
- Must have strong knowledge of LAN, security, wireless, IP telephony, and hospitality software like Oasys, Micros, Fidelio, Opera, Sun System.
- Uphold Rixos Values, Brand Standards, and appearance & hygiene guidelines.
- Implement departmental policies and procedures according to Rixos standards.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Accor experience is a plus.
- UAE experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Opera PMS, Simphony POS, OWS, and OXI.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, GDPR, and Accor IS&T policies.
- Immediate availability (no notice period) is a plus.
- Diploma in Computer Engineering, MCNA, or CCNA certifications.
