Job Description

Position Summary:

The IT System/Network Administrator is a newly created position at SK Smart Solutions with a broad scope: managing and supporting our clients' global IT infrastructures across multiple sites. Responsibilities include server administration, network management, and providing a reliable, optimized infrastructure to enhance user experience.

This role is highly hands-on and suited for a dynamic, tech-focused company. It offers an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled individual who enjoys hands-on work, leadership, and strategic growth.

Responsibilities

1. Level 2 and Level 3 Support: Providing expert assistance for complex IT issues to ensure seamless operations.
2. Server Administration Support: Managing, configuring, and optimizing servers for peak performance.
3. Network Administration Support: Monitoring, configuring, and securing network infrastructure.
4. VMWare Virtualization Administration: Managing virtualization setups, troubleshooting, and resource optimization.
5. Network Storage Support: Managing network storage resources to ensure data integrity and availability.
6. MPLS and SD-WAN Implementation: Designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and monitoring MPLS and SD-WAN across sites.
7. Support for Physical, Virtualization, OS, and Application Stack: Ensuring smooth operation, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
8. Troubleshooting and Recommendations: Rapid issue resolution with proactive suggestions to prevent future problems.

Requirements

1. BA/BS degree with 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years managing IT networks and servers, preferably in a high-growth environment.
2. Hands-on experience with the technologies and responsibilities listed above.
3. Exposure to modern IT and security solutions like Microsoft Azure, Okta, OneLogin, Bettercloud, JumpCloud, Microsoft Intune, MDM solutions, and service desk platforms such as ZenDesk, Zoho, Freshdesk, Jira ServiceDesk.
4. Strong knowledge of IT security practices: endpoint hardening, malware protection, network security, MFA, SSO, zero-trust security.
5. Experience supporting heterogeneous endpoints (PC and Mac) and communication tools (O365, GSuite, Slack, Zoom).
6. Ability to support a mobile and remote team, primarily in the UAE and MENA region.
7. Proven capability to research, learn, and implement new technologies, leveraging partners when necessary.
8. Self-motivated, process-driven, adaptable to change and ambiguity.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

1. Certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware.
2. Excellent communication and analytical skills, with patience and understanding for users with varied technical backgrounds.
3. Experience working in a small, fast-growing company, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
