Job description

Project Manager - IT Infrastructure will be responsible for delivering all projects for Group Technology. The role spans the entire project management lifecycle.

1. Project Management Planning and Design
2. Finalizing project scope, cost, and timelines
3. Identifying risks and challenges across the program
4. Regular monitoring and reporting
5. Stakeholder management
6. Vendor management
7. Platform selection

Reporting to the Portfolio or Program Manager, this role ensures timely delivery within scope and budget, with strong coordination across Technology stakeholders, Business Relationship Managers, Architecture and Design teams, and other units within Group Technology. The role also involves significant interaction with the business relationship management team and support functions.

The primary mandate is to ensure the full documentation and implementation of the program and project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have broad expertise in Technology Infrastructure within the banking industry, leadership capabilities, and team management skills. They should be detail-oriented, able to work under tight deadlines, self-driven, solution-focused, and capable of articulating ideas clearly while building strong partnerships with stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in Infrastructure Transformation programs
• Expertise in Data Centre, Compute, Storage, Virtualization, and IT Networks
• Proven track record managing projects over AED 1 million (mandatory)
• Understanding program objectives and gathering detailed requirements
• Effective planning at detailed task level
• Adopting agile methodologies where feasible
• Ensuring project delivery within time, cost, and quality constraints
• Strong reporting skills
• Producing deliverables to specifications
• Tracking key project milestones
• Coordinating with technology teams for on-time delivery
• Managing issues and risks proactively
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
• Coordinating hardware delivery and installation with vendors
• Banking experience is preferred but not mandatory

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Knowledge & Experience:

• 10+ years in IT infrastructure project management
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure Transformation programs
• Proficient in MS Office, Clarity, Jira, Confluence
• Experience working in a matrix organization

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong reporting abilities
• PMP certification is an advantage
