Job description

The IT Manager will oversee the technology infrastructure and operations within the organization, ensuring that systems run smoothly, securely, and in alignment with the strategic goals of the business. This role involves managing IT staff, maintaining network systems, overseeing cybersecurity measures, implementing new technologies, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and strong leadership skills to drive digital innovation and support continuous improvement in IT services.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including infrastructure, applications, and support.
2. Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures in line with the organization’s goals.
3. Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems, including networks, servers, and software applications.
4. Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
5. Monitor and manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
6. Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business requirements.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant UAE regulations, including cybersecurity laws and data protection standards.
8. Manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and mentoring.
9. Analyze system performance, recommend improvements, and implement solutions for increased efficiency and scalability.
10. Coordinate with other departments to support operational needs and resolve technical issues promptly.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in IT management, with a track record of leading successful IT initiatives.
3. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
4. Familiarity with UAE data protection laws, TRA guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.
5. Proven experience in budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management.
6. Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
