Overview
Reporting to Deputy Chief Digital Officer, the primary purpose of this role is to oversee the organization’s core business systems, enterprise applications, and technology landscape. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, security, and optimization of IT systems that support business operations, while driving innovation and digital transformation. This role involves managing and maintaining IT systems to ensure reliability, security, and efficient operation and supporting applications to take advantage of its capability for the maximum benefit of the organization by applying best practices and streamlining business processes. This role is responsible for leading ERP & Application development and support, Digitial & transformation initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and ensuring seamless communication systems across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital transformation initiatives for workshops and aftersales operations
- Identify and implement technologies that create differentiated customer experiences and new service opportunities.
- Manage and enhance enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, DMS, WMS) with strong focus on aftersales integration and scalability
- Drive the adoption of customer-centric digital solutions to drive business growth
- Develop the data-driven aftersales performance management – reporting, analytics, and actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and customer experience within aftersales operations.
- Drive the integration of AI-enabled solutions into enterprise systems to support continuous innovation and digital transformation.
- Plan, implement and maintain IT solutions to support growth, efficiency, and customer engagement in the workshop business.
- Translate business requirements into executable technology projects, ensuring alignment with leadership objectives
- Support ERP (including open-source platforms) through customization, development, and user enablement.
- Leverage Python and other relevant technologies for ERP customization, automation, and system integrations to enhance adaptability and efficiency.
- Apply Python along with modern development tools to support application enhancements, workflows, and emerging AI-driven initiatives.
- Plan, implement, and maintain IT solutions across departments and new locations within AGMC, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.
- Establish and maintain IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards across applications
- Develop and promote streamlined IT processes that enhance information flow, support principal inquiries, and improve system utilization across the organization.
- Ensuring availability of timely and high-quality information for various users and the management for decision making.
- Implementing Albatha Group IT guidelines related to IT & Information Security.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining the IT system required to meet the business objectives.
- Develop a process to improve efficient utilization of system and IT solutions.
- Ensure adherence & compliance with policies, procedures, ISO standards, Health & Safety requirements, ethical code of conduct & values.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure reliable operation of all IT systems, applications and digital initiatives
- Execute end-to-end delivery of technology and AI initiatives that modernize aftersales and workshop operations, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Oversee and support ERP and related applications (CRM, DMS, WMS), ensuring stability, scalability, and business fit.
- Implement and maintain digital platforms that enhance customer engagement
- Lead and support the IT team, ensuring effective performance, training, and development.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard IT
- Manage external vendors and development partners to ensure service levels are met.
- Lead or support IT projects, including upgrades, installations, and expansions, aligned with organizational needs and timelines.

Qualifications/Requirements/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role preferrable in automotive sector
- Hands-on expertise in ERP administration and support (preferably open-source platforms like ERPNext or Odoo).
- Hands-on development experience with Python (and complementary tools such as JavaScript, SQL, or APIs) to support automation and business system enhancements.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and database management.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver IT projects from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong project management skills and experience in leading technical teams
- Ability to manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and drive continuous improvement
- Experience in automotive domain, with emphasis on workshop operations or service delivery, is preferred
- Experience leading and delivering digital transformation or innovation initiatives preferably in automotive industry.
