Job description

The IT Field Support specialist is responsible for providing on-site technical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and hardware for end-users across various locations. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting hardware, software, and network systems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The IT Field Support specialist will also be expected to collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure timely support for system upgrades, installations, and problem resolution, while complying with UAE's IT standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing on-site IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  2. Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment such as computers, printers, and networking devices.
  3. Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues related to systems, networks, and software applications.
  4. Responding to and resolving service requests, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Assisting with system upgrades, software installations, and patch management across multiple locations.
  6. Documenting and tracking support tickets and troubleshooting procedures using a ticketing system.
  7. Collaborating with IT teams to escalate complex issues and contribute to system improvements.
  8. Ensuring compliance with organizational security policies and UAE data protection regulations while handling client data.
  9. Providing training and guidance to users on basic IT operations and software use.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, field support, or a similar role.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking technologies.
  4. Experience with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  5. Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and asset management software.
  6. Good knowledge of UAE's data protection regulations and IT standards.
  7. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while providing on-site support across various locations.
  9. Valid UAE driver's license is a plus, as travel to different locations may be required.
