Role Summary

This position involves working with the SPM Oil and Gas Eastern Hemisphere business, Information Technology, and external vendors to maintain, optimize, and support the infrastructure and application landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, business acumen, and strong communication abilities. The primary responsibility will be focused on business systems and related infrastructure. Candidates should have knowledge of cloud computing and process understanding.


What you will do:

  • System Analysis & Business Requirements
    • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
    • Translate business needs into IT solutions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
    • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for system improvements.
  • Application & System Support
    • Provide technical support and troubleshoot software applications and IT systems.
    • Monitor system performance, security, and reliability.
    • Manage software updates, patches, and enhancements.
  • IT Infrastructure & Security
    • Assist in network, database, and server management to ensure smooth IT operations.
    • Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
    • Identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity risks.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Extract, analyze, and interpret data to support business decision-making.
    • Utilize BI tools like Power BI or SQL queries to create reports and dashboards.
    • Enhance data accuracy and integrity.
  • Project Management & Implementation
    • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, cloud migrations, and application rollouts.
    • Collaborate with teams in software development and deployment.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management
    • Coordinate with third-party vendors for software procurement, integrations, and licensing.
    • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Stay informed about emerging IT trends, automation, and AI solutions.
    • Recommend process improvements and new technologies to optimize efficiency.
    • Support the adoption of cloud computing, DevOps, or AI-driven solutions.

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant experience, education, and training equivalence.
  • 3-5 years of experience within IT systems and data concepts.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and workflows.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot).
  • Superior organizational skills with a disciplined approach to implementation, support, and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
