IT Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Administrator to join our team and manage our IT infrastructure and systems with a focus on efficiency, security, and user support. As an IT Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT environment, including network administration, system maintenance, user support, and security. You will play a critical role in ensuring our IT systems operate smoothly and align with the organization's objectives. This position requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to IT management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and software systems.
2. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
3. Administer and support various IT systems, including Windows servers, Active Directory, Office 365, and other business applications.
4. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection tools.
5. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving IT-related issues promptly and effectively.
6. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls based on security policies and business requirements.
7. Plan and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
8. Conduct regular backups of critical data and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
9. Evaluate and recommend IT solutions and technologies that enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives.
10. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and services.
11. Document IT processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with standards.

Skills and Qualification:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Administrator or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
3. Strong technical proficiency in server administration, network infrastructure, and IT security.
4. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is desirable.
5. Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Office 365 administration.
6. Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
9. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, CompTIA Network+, Security+) are a plus.
