Overview
The IT Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Bettorian’s technology environment, including employee onboarding / offboarding, hardware and software management, cybersecurity coordination, and general IT infrastructure. This role is critical in supporting both day-to-day office functionality and long-term security, scalability, and efficiency of our systems.
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Provision laptops, peripherals, accounts, and system access for new hires.
- Ensure smooth offboarding with secure deactivation of accounts and recovery of equipment.
- Maintain IT onboarding guides and support materials.
Hardware & Software Management
- Oversee procurement, setup, and maintenance of all hardware and office equipment.
- Administer and track software licenses, renewals, and compliance.
- Ensure effective asset management (inventory, maintenance schedules, upgrades).
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Collaborate with departments to maintain robust cybersecurity practices.
- Monitor and manage access controls, MFA, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Support data protection compliance in line with local and international regulations.
- Coordinate regular IT security training for staff.
IT Operations & Support
- Act as primary point of contact for all IT-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Manage email systems, cloud storage, productivity suites, and communication tools.
- Maintain business continuity protocols (backups, disaster recovery).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations and People teams to align IT processes with business growth.
- Support Finance / HR on IT aspects of payroll, benefits platforms, and secure employee data management.
- Liaise with external vendors for IT services, subscriptions, and equipment procurement.
Experience & Background Required
- Proven experience as IT Administrator, IT Manager, or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, cloud platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Hands-on experience with hardware provisioning and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of compliance requirements (GDPR, ISO, SOC2, or regional equivalents).
- Experience supporting distributed or remote-first teams is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to liaise across teams and departments.
- Ability to balance long-term infrastructure planning with immediate problem-solving.
