- Plan and deliver Islamic B lessons for primary and secondary students.
- Align teaching with the approved curriculum and school academic standards.
- Explain Islamic concepts clearly to students from non-native Arabic-speaking backgrounds.
- Teach relevant Quranic studies, Seerah, Islamic history, worship and moral education topics.
- Create age-appropriate lessons that connect Islamic values with everyday life.
- Establish clear learning objectives and measurable success criteria.
- Use varied teaching strategies to support mixed-ability classrooms.
- Adapt lesson content for students with different language levels and learning needs.
- Prepare presentations, worksheets, visual resources and digital learning materials.
- Encourage discussion, reflection and respectful student participation.
- Assess learning through classwork, projects, presentations, quizzes and formal evaluations.
- Provide timely feedback that supports knowledge, understanding and personal development.
- Analyse student performance and identify areas requiring additional support.
- Plan intervention and extension activities according to learner progress.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, assessments and academic outcomes.
- Create a respectful and structured classroom environment.
- Apply consistent behaviour management strategies.
- Use educational technology and information technology tools to enhance instruction.
- Promote Islamic ethics, cultural awareness and responsible behaviour.
- Build supportive relationships with students and encourage confidence in learning.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding progress and development needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and teaching resources.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development and departmental activities.
- Contribute to assemblies, religious events and extracurricular programmes.
- Follow safeguarding policies, school procedures and professional standards.
- Complete additional teaching duties assigned by school leadership.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Valid teacher qualification or professional teaching certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching primary and secondary students.
- Strong subject knowledge in Islamic Studies.
- Experience teaching Islamic B to non-native learners is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English equivalent to IELTS 6 or above.
- Ability to explain religious concepts clearly and sensitively.
- Strong commitment to teaching quality and student progress.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach inside and outside the classroom.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication abilities.
