Job description

The Irrigation Draughtsman is responsible for preparing high-quality CAD drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction details for landscaping and irrigation projects. This role ensures that all designs align with project specifications, consultant feedback, and international drafting standards.

Key Accountabilities:

Drafting & Design Development

● Develop CAD shop drawings, as-built drawings, construction details, and design development plans for landscaping and irrigation projects.

● Work from rough sketches and specifications provided by the Senior Irrigation Engineer and Landscape Architects to create precise technical drawings.

● Analyze sketches, design concepts, specifications, and related data to assess factors influencing irrigation designs.

● Revise drawings and layouts based on consultant comments, project updates, and design enhancements.

● Ensure compliance with international drafting standards and project requirements.

Coordination & Documentation

● Collaborate with the Senior Architect, Project Manager, Site Manager, and Senior Irrigation Engineer to produce shop drawings and process submittals.

● Prepare and submit NOC drawings to the NOC Engineer for government approvals.

● Submit shop drawings and as-built drawings to Dubai Municipality in the required MicroStation format.

● Assist in preparing quantity take-offs for irrigation materials and components.

Graphic & Technical Presentation

● Generate 2D graphic presentations to support project visualizations.

● Ensure all drawings are clear, accurate, and meet project presentation standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

● Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Landscaping/Construction Engineering.

● 2-4+ years of relevant work experience

● Good understanding of all type of Irrigation Networks

● Driving license is a must

● Sound knowledge with civil infrastructure projects is a must (roads, utilities, landscape, etc.)

● Knowledge of sustainable practices and maintenance standards

● Experience working with design projects including urban parks, residential areas, and commercial spaces
