Job Purpose:

As an Iron Technician, to dismantle, inspect, repair and rebuild SPM & Customer Owned Treating Iron equipment. The role of this assignment is that of an individual contributor who performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner in line with SPM Oil & Gas Safety, Quality, Environmental, Operational Procedures.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Communicating major issues in equipment performance and maintenance to the managers; Supporting the team in implementing robust solutions to improve overall efficiency, yield, and uptime of the equipment.
  • Complying with safety, health, and environmental guidelines and participating in continuous improvement of the procedures while performing equipment maintenance.
  • Pressure tests all Treating Iron & Set Relief valves under minimum supervision.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times within workshop cells.
  • Any other duties as required by your Supervisors.
  • Loading out equipment and recording serial numbers Using Iron Request Forms.

  • Mechanical/Machinery - Knowledge of machines and tools; ability to use knowledge of machinery or mechanical objects including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Basic Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in handling Iron equipment
  • Good Mechanical Knowledge
  • Good communication, and organisational ability
  • Ensure all work undertaken is of a high quality, to agreed targets and timescales
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise workload and be able to work under pressure
