Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficient in backend languages (Python, Java, Go).
• Hands-on experience with IoT protocols, device management, and telemetry ingestion.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with data processing technologies (Kafka, MQTT brokers) and data lakes.
• Knowledge of secure software development and IoT security considerations.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs for device connectivity and data routing.
• Implement device provisioning, authentication, lifecycle management, and OTA updates.
• Support IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP(S), LoRaWAN and WebSockets.
• Develop data pipelines for real-time and batch analytics.
• Design for scalability, resiliency, observability and cost-efficiency using cloud patterns.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC deployment workflows.
• Implement security controls across device-to-cloud communications.
• Monitor platform health, investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, data science and product teams.
• Maintain technical docs, runbooks and platform roadmaps.
