Job summary

Sumara Technology is seeking an experienced iOS Mobile Engineering Lead to architect and lead our native iOS initiatives. You will mentor engineers, set best practices, and drive technical excellence to deliver scalable apps for global users.

You'll guide architecture decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence the platform's evolution using Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and modern tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional iOS development experience, incl. 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Expert Swift with UIKit/SwiftUI.
• Production-grade iOS applications experience.
• Familiarity with Tuist for modular iOS projects.
• Kotlin Multiplatform experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture.
• Experience with networking, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile workflows.
• Proficiency with Git and modern version control practices.
• Strong communication and leadership across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the iOS engineering team, mentoring junior and senior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and professional development.
• Architect and design scalable iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit best practices.
• Establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices for the iOS platform.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle—from conceptualization through deployment and maintenance.
• Lead technical design reviews and system architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into robust mobile solutions.
• Drive adoption of modern development tools and workflows, including Tuist for package management and boilerplate code generation.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability while maintaining high standards for code quality.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and building a high-performance iOS engineering culture.
• Explore and evaluate emerging iOS technologies and frameworks.
