What Does an Investment Analyst Do?

1. Participate in client meetings to assess business models and propose financially viable solutions
2. Develop detailed financial models, conduct valuation analysis, and perform industry research
3. Prepare investment business cases covering strategic fit, market positioning, and financial returns such as IRR, NPV, and ROCE
4. Collaborate with global and regional teams to collect data, validate assumptions, and refine proposals
5. Assist with due diligence by analyzing financial reports, budgets, and market conditions
6. Monitor and report on the performance of committed investments, conducting post-investment reviews
7. Track market trends and identify new opportunities in trade, logistics, and infrastructure
8. Support capital allocation decisions by presenting insights to senior management and stakeholders

What Skills Are Needed for an Investment Analyst in Dubai?

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
2. CA or MBA preferred

Experience:

1. Minimum 6 years of experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, or business development
2. At least 3 years in the logistics or distribution industry preferred

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and valuation
2. Understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and risk analysis
3. Experience with PowerPoint and financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ is an advantage
