Job description

Synopsis

Inventory Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating activities for materials (aircraft spares, Cabin & BFE, IFE, Tools) required to support both unscheduled and scheduled aircraft maintenance in a cost-effective manner.

Accountabilities

1. Review part forecasts for A & C Checks, re-order proposals, engineering documents, hard time & tool staggering. Initiate procurement requests to ensure spares availability at optimal cost.
2. Review consumables, set re-order levels, and determine ordering quantities to maintain service levels and adequate inventory at reasonable costs.
3. Evaluate and monitor float levels for all rotable spare parts using Poisson's calculations.
4. Monitor fleet defects and implement steps to reduce them.
5. Implement stocking methods such as pool inclusion, consignment stock allocations, and identify surplus items for disposal.
6. Evaluate and monitor LMP and LRU RSPL for initial, additional, and continuous provisioning.
7. Review and monitor shelf-life expiry items and scrap transactions in ERP; initiate replenishment with justification.
8. Monitor discrepancies in spares and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.
9. Review and execute actions to support aircraft induction, return to service, and end-of-lease projects.
10. Assist in developing and updating departmental processes and manuals in compliance with regulators and organizational standards.
11. Support any additional projects assigned by the Manager of Materials Planning to achieve departmental goals.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification, or a minimum of 3 years in aviation inventory management.
• Experience in aircraft technical material planning, procurement, and supplier management.
• Understanding of technical manuals like IPC, ITEM, MPD, and familiarity with RSPLs, W-File, spare repair, warranty, OEM support contracts such as SSC and PSAA, along with lease return requirements.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Resilient, adaptable to multicultural environments, and capable of working under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
