Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella: SALT, Switch, Parker's, Grind, Somewhere, and Public.

We are currently seeking an Inventory Controller / Data Entry for our Restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• In conjunction with the Provision Master, provide analysis of F&B stores consumption to handle the ordering of Food and Beverage as accurately as possible.
• Input all PO, Invoices, Inventories, and stocks received into the computer.
• Maintain the food inventory updated daily in cooperation with the Provision Master.
• Carry out spot-checks on the restaurant and Central Kitchen rotating stock-takes.
• Conduct checks on storing operations on the pier.
• Input all requisitions into the computer.
• Control and ensure that no item leaves the stores without requisition.
• Account for any stock transfer between onboard locations.
• Input physical bar stock counts into the computer system and analyze results, highlighting discrepancies for additional counts or reviews.
• Hold at least one spot check every second day on physical inventories held in the bars, food and beverage stores, galleys, and cellars.
• Monitor controls on tips and bonuses to bar staff.
• Perform any other duty as requested by superiors.
• Compile a physical inventory routine for each food & beverage location, verifying inventory levels at least once per cruise or more frequently in the Crew Bar and any other bar with high variances.
• Prepare a voyage report at the end of each cruise to be signed by the F&B Manager and sent to the shore side office.
• Supervise and manage the responsibilities detailed above on a day-to-day basis.
• Conduct random audits and reconciliations over the voyage and move forward with new computer installations and control procedures, while addressing systems and financial control problems as they arise.
• Run end-of-day reports on all bar point of sales workstations and distribute daily sales analysis reports as required.
• Feed figures into spreadsheets to carry out the control functions described above.
• Review undefined accounts.
• Tackle computer problems as they arise.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as Data Entry or Inventory Controller.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent typing and inventory skills.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.
