Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Controller to maintain accurate stock records and support multi-client warehouse efficiency across various product categories.

You will ensure stock aligns with WMS data, lead cycle counts, and participate in audits and KPI tracking to drive continuous improvement. Based in Dubai, the role involves collaboration with receiving, picking, and dispatch teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related field preferred.
  • 35 years experience in warehouse inventory control within a multi-client or 3PL environment.
  • Experience operating in large distribution centres (50,000 sq ft preferred).
  • Experience using WMS/ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Manhattan JDA etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS across multiple client accounts.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts based on ABC classification and client requirements.
  • Lead and support full physical inventory counts and client-specific stock audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies including root cause analysis.
  • Monitor stock movements (receipts, transfers, returns, adjustments) across locations.
  • Ensure correct batch/serial number FIFO/FEFO compliance where applicable.
  • Reconcile physical stock against system records for multiple clients.
  • Prepare inventory variance reports and corrective action summaries.
  • Track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, shrinkage, ageing stock.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports to management and clients.

Job description

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our clients logistics challenges.

The Warehouse Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records ensuring stock integrity and supporting operational efficiency within a large multi-client warehouse operation.

The role ensures all inventory transactions are processed correctly within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and that physical stock aligns with system records across multiple clients and varied product categories.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Control
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) across multiple client accounts.
  • Perform daily weekly and monthly cycle counts based on ABC classification and client requirements.
  • Lead and support full physical inventory counts and client-specific stock audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner including root cause analysis.
  • Monitor stock movements (receipts transfers returns adjustments) across bulk palletised and pick-face locations.
  • Ensure correct batch serial number FIFO/FEFO compliance where applicable.
Reconciliation & Reporting
  • Reconcile physical stock against system records for multiple clients.
  • Prepare inventory variance reports and corrective action summaries.
  • Track KPIs such as inventory accuracy % shrinkage adjustment trends and ageing stock.
  • Provide daily weekly and monthly inventory reports to management and clients as required.
Process & Compliance
  • Ensure all inventory processes follow company SOPs client SLAs and JAFZA regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits including client audits and compliance inspections.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to inventory control procedures and location management.
  • Ensure proper segregation of client stock and adherence to free zone regulations.
Operational Support
  • Coordinate closely with receiving picking VAS staging and dispatch teams to maintain stock integrity.
  • Manage quarantine damaged returned and non-conforming stock processes.
  • Support value-added services (VAS) operations by ensuring accurate material issuance and reconciliation.
  • Assist in warehouse layout optimisation bin management and space utilisation.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Inventory accuracy 99% (or agreed client SLA target)
  • Cycle count completion rate
  • Variance resolution turnaround time
  • Stock loss/shrinkage rate
  • Audit compliance score
  • Client inventory reporting accuracy
Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business or related field (preferred).
Experience
  • 35 years experience in warehouse inventory control within a multi-client or 3PL environment.
  • Experience operating in large distribution centres (50000 sq ft preferred).
  • Experience using WMS/ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Manhattan JDA etc.).
Technical Skills
  • Strong Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP is absolutely necessary).
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and RF devices.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methodologies (FIFO FEFO batch/serial control).

Understanding of Free Zone compliance and documentation requirements

Working Conditions
  • Based in warehouse environment (JAFZA)
  • May require shift work
  • Frequent walking standing and occasional lifting
