Job summary

Client of Dr Expat in Abu Dhabi seeks a Pain Medicine Specialist to assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic pain using medical, minimally invasive and image-guided techniques. You will work with orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized pain management plans that enhance quality of life.

The role requires fellowship in Pain Medicine or a recognized anesthesiology specialty, minimum 3

Qualifications

• Recognized specialty qualification in Anesthesiology or Pain Medicine.
• Fellowship in Pain Medicine preferred.
• Minimum 3 years post-specialization experience.
• Expertise in chronic pain management and interventional procedures.
• Eligibility for DOH, DHA, or MOH Specialist licensure.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain disorders.
• Perform fluoroscopy-guided and ultrasound-guided pain procedures.
• Develop comprehensive multidisciplinary pain management plans.
• Administer interventional pain treatments including nerve blocks and injections.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
• Educate patients regarding pain management strategies and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations.
• Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
