Job summary

United Arab Emirates University is seeking a committed Training & Internship Specialist to coordinate student internship placements, support professional development initiatives, and build strong relationships with partner organizations.

You will guide students to suitable internships, coordinate with organizations, review sites with academics, manage communications, assign placements, arrange transportation, and help run workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a recognised university is required.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide students toward suitable internship placements aligned with their fields of specialization.
• Coordinate with organizations before each internship period to secure sufficient placements for students across all college departments.
• Meet with academic supervisors at the beginning of the academic year to review and evaluate proposed internship sites.
• Communicate with students by email and collect their preferred internship sites through internship forms following early registration.
• Assign students to placements based on their specialization, interests, and the suitability of each site.
• Arrange transportation to and from internship locations.
• Support the organization and delivery of workshops preparing students for field placements.
• Recognize and honor organizations that host student interns.
• Attend conferences related to internship programs.
• Participate in external workshops and seminars.
• Perform other duties related to the role as assigned.
