This role entails crafting sales strategies, building relationships with international clients, and identifying export opportunities across major markets like the US and Europe. Scope:
Main purpose of the role:
The International Sales Manager will focus on global business development and drive revenue growth for the paper bag manufacturing division, focusing on strategic international markets such as the United States, Europe, Australia, and other key regions. This role involves crafting and executing robust sales strategies, building long-term relationships with international clients and distributors, and identifying new export opportunities. A strong understanding of paper packaging products, international trade regulations, and effective cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills is essential for success
Responsibilities
Specific Role Responsibilities:
As a Salesperson, you will be working Monday to Friday,
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals
• Your primary role entails spearheading sales and marketing efforts to secure new business opportunities.
• Identify key countries in which retailers continue to use paper bags as follows: - Papers Products - SOS Handle Bags (Flat and twisted), - Satchel Bags, - Film Front.
• Obtain a list of key retailers' contact information and market our group to gain potential interest in our product offerings.
• Identify key large distributors in each country that we can also service, as they may already have a captured customer base with us, allowing us to serve their customers with our range of products.
• For the initial six months, your key objective is to identify and contact key customers, retailers, and distributors in the world.
• Your Progress will be subject to monthly reviews. Emphasise the number of prospective customers you've identified, the number contacted, and the volume of responses received.
• Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market changes

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience:
Essential:
• 5–7 years of proven experience in international B2B sales, ideally in the paper packaging or printing industry.
• Strong sales portfolio to international markets including the US, Europe, Australia, and other key regions.
• Knowledge of export procedures, INCOTERMS, shipping documentation, and international payment terms.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural negotiation skills.
Desirable:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
• Understanding sustainable packaging trends, environmental certifications, and buyer expectations in Western markets.
• Familiarity with paper bag manufacturing processes, materials (e.g. kraft paper, recycled paper), and industry standards.
