Job description

My client is one of Dubai’s leading, regulated Wealth Management firms. Due to expansion within their financial consultancy team, they are now looking for additional high-quality, UK-qualified financial planning consultants, ideally with an existing book of business for their established offices in Dubai.

As an experienced financial planning consultant, you will contribute fully to the company's vision. You should have relevant industry qualifications and experience within a wealth management or insurance intermediary practice. The role focuses on financial planning—analyzing clients' current positions and exploring options to meet their financial goals—and on developing strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Represent the firm’s Financial Consultant Team.
  2. Schedule and attend client meetings to understand evolving short-term and long-term needs, building client confidence.
  3. Develop new client relationships.
  4. Lead and manage a Business Development Manager / Para-planner.
  5. Collaborate with the internal team to achieve shared business goals.
Advantageous Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree in economics, financial planning, investment analysis, or related fields.
  • Level 4 qualification in Financial Services (wealth management, financial planning, or insurance).
  • Experience leading or working within a sales team.
Requirements:
  • At least three years’ experience in wealth management or financial advisory, with no record of client dissatisfaction or regulatory sanctions.
  • Level 4 Qualification or equivalent in financial services.
  • Proven ability in client relationship management and acquisition.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, and able to work independently.
Unique Selling Points (USPs):
  • Established global brand presence.
  • Comprehensive licensing across multiple jurisdictions, including SCA/Central Bank (UAE), MAS (Singapore), FSB (South Africa), LFSA (Malaysia), with plans for additional coverage.
  • Operations in over 120 countries.
  • FTSE-listed, ensuring high standards of oversight, governance, and financial stability.
  • Share options and private share ownership schemes (note: private schemes are worthless; publicly traded shares are unique).
  • Specialized financial planning services, including HNW tax mitigation and private equity, targeting high-net-worth clients.
  • Access to a broad client base and cross-selling opportunities through partnerships and a diverse client portfolio.
  • Operates across multiple jurisdictions with minimal regulatory barriers.
  • In-house technical, training, and investment support, including full support via Team Asset Management.
  • Advanced online platform (Saxo) and CRM systems (Wealthcraft/Hubspot), with dedicated paraplanners.

They are expanding their jurisdictional reach to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, and soon Monaco, offering a wide range of services.

The main criterion for selection is an existing book of business.

Please note: This role is suitable for experienced, CISI/CII-qualified UK investment advisory professionals serving primarily EU and UK expatriates. A minimum of three years’ experience in life insurance or wealth management is required. This position is client-facing, sales-driven, and target-oriented. It is not suitable for candidates from accounting, auditing, or general financial management backgrounds. Only apply if you meet the wealth management experience criteria.
