Heidelberg Materials Trading is the international trading arm of the Heidelberg Materials Group, handling overseas dry-bulk products exports and imports. For our Dubai office, we are looking for dynamic talents to join our team as;
International Accounting Assistant Manager / Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Support and oversee the accounting process across international entities
- Ensure expense and invoice accounting controls align with company policies
- Conduct detailed fixed cost analysis and provision accounting reviews
- Validate accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial reporting
- Guide and support the finance team in daily operations
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing transactions
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Group requirements
- Deliver insightful analysis during monthly financial closings
- Support consolidation and timely submission of financial reports to HM Group
- Reconcile year-end balances and ensure accurate postings across companies
- Review and ensure accuracy of quarterly group recharge invoices
- Monitor provisions and related payments (e.g., severance, annual leave)
- Run and review month-end foreign currency revaluations
- Validate group IT recharge balances and approve reported figures
- Monitor annual bonus provisions and conduct budget analyses
- Upload planned fixed cost figures into ERP and prepare purchase orders
- Review fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and fixed cost reports during closings
- Oversee monthly inter-company reconciliation and follow up on overdue balances
- Analyze monthly operating results against budget and forecasts
- Prepare and present monthly management reports
- Review payroll records submitted by HR for accuracy
- Conduct fixed cost analyses during budgeting and present findings
- Manage Dubai audit process and ensure timely trade license renewal
- Prepare and present annual overhead recharge management report
- Negotiate and manage relations with local service providers
- Drive ERP system improvements and ensure successful implementation
- Analyze monthly cash flow needs and ensure timely funding for service companies
- Provide financial input and analysis for new fixed cost-related projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Master’s degree in finance or accounting is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in international accounting or finance
- CPA or ACCA certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
