Job summary

Anantara Downtown Dubai is seeking kitchen staff to support the preparation and service of food across various outlets. The role emphasizes maintaining high presentation standards, proper food handling, and cleanliness to ensure guest satisfaction.

Candidates will participate in ongoing departmental training to improve skills and hotel service levels, with opportunities to assist at events, banquets and other functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of food and prepare mise en place for the outlets as required.
• Adhere to food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to guests.
• Maintain hygiene and ensure proper food-handling techniques, dating, storage and rotation.
• Keep working areas clean and tidy to maintain hygienic surroundings.
• Participate in departmental training to improve service levels.
• Assist at events, banquets and other functions as required.

Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Assist in the preparation and service of food and prepare mise en place for the outlets as required.
• Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests.
• Continually look for opportunities to recommend improvements and additions to Anantara presentation guidelines.
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy to maintain hygienic surroundings.
• Maintain food safety and protection.
• Ensure all food in working areas complies with proper food-handling techniques, including dating, storage, and rotation.
• Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Take responsibility for looking after all hotel property and facilities.
• Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels.
• Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
• Assist at events, banquets, and other functions as required.
• Adhere to all personal hygiene and grooming standards, fire safety rules, and health and safety regulations.
