Intermediate to Senior Interior Designers

Archibat HR is actively seeking Intermediate to Senior Interior Designers for a leading International Interior Design firm to be based in the United Arab Emirates.

The Senior Interior Designer plays a pivotal role in all stages of design initiatives, encompassing the creation and transformation of interior environments, including structural modifications, decor, lighting, and color palettes.

This position involves producing conceptual designs and feasibility assessments for commercial, hospitality, residential, and leisure projects. Acting as the primary liaison, the specialist manages client and consultant communications while ensuring project execution from inception to final delivery.

Reporting to the Creative Design Head, this role involves setting project timelines and ensuring milestones are met efficiently.

Required profile

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 8–10 years of extensive experience in spatial and environmental design, with a strong emphasis on hospitality projects.

• Proven collaboration with major hospitality and retail brands and operators.

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Strong leadership abilities, including team coordination, mentorship, and motivation.

• Experience in managing client relationships and project accounts.

Core Responsibilities:

• Spearhead design projects from initial concept to final implementation.

• Interpret and apply brand standards within design frameworks for hospitality environments.

• Work closely with clients to refine their vision into actionable design strategies.

• Generate detailed design plans using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.) while ensuring precision and compliance.

• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.

• Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.

• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks to meet deliverables.

• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring optimal material and finish selections.

• Stay updated on emerging design trends and integrate innovative approaches into projects.

• Develop mood boards and preliminary design concepts.

• Source furnishings, fixtures, and finishes within budget constraints, including cost evaluations.

• Produce technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD or equivalent tools.

• Review design packages for technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and operational suitability.

• Collaborate with cost consultants to establish project budgets and schedules when necessary.

• Function as a supportive team player, maintaining a positive work environment and addressing challenges proactively.

• Document and distribute meeting summaries to relevant stakeholders.

Key Skills:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly.

• Strong conceptualization skills, demonstrated through hand sketches or digital modeling tools.

• Experience in producing high-quality visual presentations and marketing materials.

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems as they relate to interior design.

• Proficiency in English.

• Proven ability to execute design projects from concept to final implementation.
