Job summary

Roads and Transport Authority in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced interior design engineer to help develop guidelines and standards that align with strategic objectives and sustain user-centric, cost-efficient environments.

You will review proposals, coordinate with consultants and vendors, and ensure design work meets budgets, schedules, and safety requirements across Authority and private projects.

This role emphasizes sustainability, universal design, and proactive project oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering required.
• 2+ years' experience for Bachelor's; 0-1 years for Master's.
• Strong project management and coordination capabilities.
• Knowledge of quality, health and safety standards.
• Experience in vendor oversight and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to interior design guidelines and standards.
• Review design proposals and shop drawings for compliance.
• Support selection of consultants and vendors with technical input.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Oversee execution from initiation to handover, ensuring quality.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and project management procedures.
• Assist in cost estimation and material research.
• Participate in inspections and testing during handover.
