Job summary

Dubai-based Senior Interior Designer role for a major international property developer. You will lead design concepts for luxury hotel, resort and residential projects and collaborate with top design teams.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in 5* hospitality and high-end residential interiors, with strong software skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp and Illustrator. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (Architecture/Interior Design) or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in Interior Design
• Strong portfolio in 5* Hospitality and Residential sectors
• Overseas experience not required but exposure to large-scale 5* projects valued
• Excellent communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for and assist in development of design concepts
• Plan project and designer workflows
• Assist with resourcing and planning for studio projects
• Clarify scope of work and prepare schedules
• Collaborate with Design Managers and Design Director to develop designs
• Ensure projects stay on schedule

Interior Designer (5* Hospitality & Residential)

Based in Dubai

Our client is a major international property developer with an ever growing presence throughout the Middle East and an enviable reputation globally. Due to continued growth within the UAE and GCC, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Interior Designer with a strong portfolio in both the Hospitality and Residential sectors to join its top tier design team based in Dubai.

• Assume responsibility for and assist in the development of design concepts.
• Plan project and subordinate designer work flows.
• Assist with resourcing requirements and planning for studio projects.
• Clarify scope of work and prepare schedule for review.
• Work closely with the Design Managers and Design Director to develop a suitable design for the project.
• Ensure the project is kept within schedule.
• Monitor the work of the design team and to help solve any problems.
• Be able to visualize design ideas in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up, Illustrator, physical model and/or other suitable media.
• Prepare presentations for client, consultant and/or relevant parties.
• Liaise with necessary consultants regarding the project and to discuss and carefully consider how to incorporate their comments into our design.
• Work with the presentation and 3D Visual Team to develop a concept sketch into a developed 3D design.
• Specify suitable and international standard material finishes.

In order to be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Degree qualified (or equivalent due to visa restrictions) in Architecture, Interior Design or a relevant related discipline
• A proven track record in the Interior Design industry – a minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experience is essential.
• Be able to demonstrate a strong portfolio within the 5* Hospitality and Residential sectors.
• No prior overseas experience is necessary, however, our client will expect to see exposure to large scale 5* international hospitality projects
• Excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite of this role.
