Interior Designer
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire design process from concept to execution for fitout projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure design implementation meets approved plans and specifications.
- Prepare and execute renders, IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, and shop drawings for joinery and site operational teams.
- Manage material specifications from the design team or client’s designers, ensuring alignment with the procurement and purchasing teams.
- Work with the procurement department to ensure materials meet design specifications for the joinery and marble workshops.
- Manage walk-in client interactions for Art Dei Marmi, assisting with their orders and coordinating with the sales team for quotations.
- Handle incoming leads, represent the company’s design to clients, and serve as the first point of contact for clients regarding design needs.
- Act as a liaison between the joinery production manager, client, project manager, and purchasing team on design-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company guidelines in all design aspects.
- Research and stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the fitout industry.
- Provide innovative design solutions that enhance functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability of projects.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor design execution and address any design-related challenges.
- Preparation of presentable conceptual designs throughout the tender phases and kick-off meetings.
- Awareness of market suppliers that can provide the needed materials to be compatible with their design.
- High presentation and communication skills.
- Capability to coordinate with the social media team to evolve adverts and presentations.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in design, preferably in the fitout or interior design industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar.
- Strong understanding of design processes, material specifications, and procurement coordination.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- UAE experience preferred.
