Job summary

Sener seeks an Interface Engineer for Rail & Metro projects in the UAE. You will coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces across Civil, Track, Signaling, Telecomm, Power, MEP and Architecture, ensuring seamless integration of railway systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, or systems engineering.
• 6–8 years of overall engineering experience.
• 6–8 years Rail & Metro experience in interface engineering and coordination.
• Proven experience managing technical interfaces on Rail & Metro projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit/Navisworks is a plus.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and stakeholder skills.

• Develop and manage the Interface Register; track and resolve interface issues.
• Coordinate design reviews and interface meetings with clients, contractors and teams.

• Prepare interface reports, minutes, action trackers and documentation.
• Support design coordination during construction, testing and handover.

Interface Engineer – Rail & Metro

We are looking for an Interface Engineer to join our Rail & Metro team in the UAE, where you'll play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering interfaces and ensuring the seamless integration of railway systems across landmark infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of technical interfaces between Civil, Track, Signaling, Telecommunications, Power, MEP, Architecture, and other railway disciplines across all project phases.
• Develop, maintain, and manage the Interface Register, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution of interface issues.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews and interface meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Identify interface risks, design conflicts, and dependencies, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
• Review engineering deliverables to ensure interface requirements are properly identified, coordinated, and incorporated into the design.
• Prepare interface reports, meeting minutes, action trackers, and technical documentation.
• Support design coordination during construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, international railway standards, and Sener quality procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 6–8 years of overall engineering experience.
• 6–8 years of mandatory Rail & Metro experience in Interface Engineering and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Proven experience managing technical interfaces on Rail & Metro infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary railway systems, interface management, and design coordination processes.
• Experience developing and managing Interface Registers and resolving interface issues.
• Knowledge of international railway standards and systems integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit/Navisworks is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international engineering consultancies.
• Familiarity with GCC railway standards and project requirements.
• Experience supporting construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
