Insurance Specialist - Employee Benefits

The Insurance Specialist in Employee Benefits is responsible for managing client relationships, identifying their benefits needs, and delivering tailored solutions that support employee satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:

  1. Builds and maintains strong relationships with underwriters to ensure service delivery best meets expectations and is compliant.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams and external insurers to design and implement effective medical insurance plans.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and market reviews to understand client insurance needs and objectives, ensuring coverage is tailored to their requirements.
  4. Manage the policy placement process, negotiating with insurers to secure the best possible terms for clients.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date trackers on placement data.
  6. Create a positive onboarding experience for new clients.
  7. Prepare proposals, presentations, and other materials for clients and prospects regarding renewal and new business opportunities.
  8. Assist with policy renewals, ensuring competitive terms and addressing any plan changes or enhancements as required.
  9. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting the insurance landscape.
  10. Perform client account reconciliations as needed.
  11. Follow up on invoices with the insurer, keeping track of each client's quarterly or semi-annual invoices.
  12. Assist with policy upgrades, changes, or cancellations based on client requests or evolving needs.
  13. Address and resolve client issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
  14. Guide clients through the enrollment process, ensuring accurate information for policy issuance and timely invoice issuance.
  15. Provide clients with clear explanations of benefit options, plan changes, and compliance updates.
  16. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory/compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in handling Employee Benefits Insurance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits products, trends, and best practices in the UAE.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
