Rejlers International Engineering Solutions AB operates in Abu Dhabi, UAE, delivering high-quality engineering and project services to the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries mainly in the UAE and other Arabian Gulf Countries. We are seeking a Designer, Civil & Structural to join our team for offshore/onshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Designer, Instrumentation, and Automation will handle engineering design review and analysis assignments, typically involving major projects or several smaller ones. These projects require competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.

Your role will involve leading and executing multiple projects (local and international), preparing instrumentation and automation engineering documents and drawings as assigned by the Discipline Manager. A desire to be at the forefront of the oil & gas sector and deliver outstanding projects is essential. Reports To

The Designer, Instrumentation, and Automation reports to the Line Manager, EIA.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Support the team on process industry-based project designs for smooth execution.
  • Assist Engineers / Design Manager / Discipline Manager with project design work.
  • Verify source data and concept drawings.
  • Prepare and finalize the Engineering Document Deliverable Register (EDDR) in coordination with relevant departments, adhering to client and contract deadlines.
  • Prepare all I&A-related design deliverables using MS Office, SmartPlant tools (SP3D, SPI), AutoCAD, Navis, MicroStation, PDS, PDMS, Aveva E3D, etc.
  • Review design documents, drawings, and submissions from various disciplines and subcontractors to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Participate in review meetings, including 3D modeling, plot plan review, and constructability studies.
  • Ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings, coordinating with the client as necessary.
  • Prepare Material Take Offs.
  • Coordinate inter-discipline activities and submission of design documents/deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
  • Resolve technical issues with clients in coordination with leads and managers.
  • Coordinate the preparation of as-built documentation.
  • Work with IAE tools such as SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SPR, Smart Sketch, PDS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, and MS Office.
Preferred Skills & Requirements
  • Engineering Graduate (BSc or Diploma).
  • Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries, with at least 6 years in a senior role.
  • Expertise in PDS, MicroStation J, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in FEED and EPC projects, especially with ADNOC Onshore.
  • Telecommunication knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience with reputed engineering consultancies is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Team player with a problem-solving attitude and a can-do mindset.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Meet UAE visa requirements and be based in UAE, ready to join.
