We are now looking for Designer Civil & Structural to be a part of Rejlers Team in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas Projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Designer, Instrumentation, and Automation are responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas. In your role, you will Lead and Execute multiple projects (local and international) with the designer team and also will be responsible to prepare instrumentation and automation engineering documents and drawings as required for the project and assigned by Discipline Manager. Reports To
The Designer, Instrumentation, and Automation reports to Line Manager, EIA.
Responsibilities And Duties
You will support the team on process industry-based project design work for smooth execution.
- To assist the Engineers / Design Manager / Discipline Manager with the engineering design of the project.
- Ensure verification of source data, and concept drawings/concepts as required.
- Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant departments/disciplines, submission date as per Client / Contract requirements.
- Preparation of all I&A-related design deliverables through MS-office, Smart plant tools (SP3D, SPI), AUTOCAD, NAVIS, Micro-station, PDS, PDMS, Aveva E3D, etc.
- Review design documents, drawings, etc. issued by various disciplines, and design subcontractors and ensure Client requirements.
- Review meetings (3-D modeling, plot plan review, Constructability study).
- Responsible to ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings and necessary coordination with the Client.
- Preparation of Material Take Off.
- Overall responsible for inter-discipline coordination, and submission of necessary design documents/ deliverables and procedures to the Client.
- Ensure compliance with Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Requirements for the project.
- Responsible to ensure unclear issues are resolved with Clients through a technical query in coordination with inter-discipline leads, and managers.
- Coordinate the preparation of as-built.
- You have to work on the following IAE tools to perform designing and drafting activities for Design, Execution, and As-built.
- Smart Plant 3D (E&I Cable Trays & instrument Modeling, extraction of drawings) Expertise is mandatory.
- Smart Plant Instrumentation User (added value).
- SPR (Smart Plant Review).
- Smart Sketch.
- PDS (E&I Cable Trays & Equipment Modeling) Expertise is mandatory.
- Microstation.
- AutoCAD (Smart working / Macros) Expertise is mandatory.
- NavisWorks.
- Microsoft Office (Fast working / Macros/formatting) Expertise is mandatory.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy and Environmental objectives.
Preferred Skills & Requirements
- Engineering Graduate (BSc. Or Diploma).
- Minimum of 8-10 years relevant designer experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries and 6 years in a senior role.
- Expertise in PDS, MicroStation J & AutoCAD.
- Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Onshore.
- Telecommunication knowledge is an added advantage.
- Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Team player, smart-working, problem solver, and can-do attitude.
- Fluent in the English language, Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
