Job summary

PES Group is seeking an Instrument Valve Package Engineer (Instrument Valve Specialist) for Offshore Oil & Gas EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. You will lead instrumentation valve package engineering design and execution, prepare specs, datasheets, MTOs and BOQs, and participate in TBEs and P&ID mechanization.

The role requires hands-on sizing calculations, vendor document review, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, 3D model reviews, FATs/SATs, loop checks, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in instrumentation valve package engineering design and execution.
• Proficient in TBEs, P&ID mechanization and valve sizing.
• Knowledge of API 6D and API 6A standards and valve types.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation valve package engineering design and execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities, 3D model reviews and FATs/SATs.
• Review vendor documents and validate valve sizing and measurement element sizing.
• Support commissioning activities including loop checks and pre-commissioning.

This will ensure that activities relating to mechanical engineering and equipment packages within the assigned project are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with the contract specifications, quality standards and safety/environmental requirements.

Instrument Valve Package Engineer (Instrument Valve Specialist) with experience in the Offshore Oil & Gas EPC sector.

Key Requirements:

• Instrumentation Valve Package engineering design and execution.
• Preparation of MRs, PRs, Technical Specifications, Datasheets, Instrument Specification Sheets, MTOs, and BOQs.
• Experience in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) and P&ID mechanization.
• Strong knowledge of:
• API 6D (Actuated On-Off Valves (Ball & Plug Valves))
• API 6A (Choke Valves and Actuated Ball Valves)
• Control Valves and Safety Valves etc
• Hands-on experience with SPI/Intools (Specifications modules).
• Vendor document review and validation of Control Valve Sizing, Safety Valve Sizing, and Measurement Element Sizing calculations.
• Support for multidisciplinary coordination, 3D model reviews, FATs, SATs, loop checks, functional testing, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
