JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer is primarily responsible to ensure the preparation of basic and detailed engineering design modeling and analysis of engineering requirements for a given project and to liaise with the client, the project team, vendors and site establishment to ensure conformity of instrumentation and control engineering activities with the overall project plan, client requirements, TechnipFMC standards and project scope of work.
Preparation of engineering design specification and documents for field instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Integrated Control System (ICS), Fire and Gas Safety Instrumented System (SIS). This entails the preparation of basic design FEED and detailed design of the Instrumentation part of the project such as:
Basis of Design Document
Calculation Notes
Control Room Arrangement
Job Specifications
Instrumentation Data Sheets
Material Requisitions
Technical Bid Evaluations
Review of instrumentation drawings
Review of drawings and documents issued by other Disciplines as well as Vendor drawings.
AsBuilt Documentation
Participate in the timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications and requisitions in coordination with other disciplines.
Assist more senior engineers in ensuring that contractual technical specifications are met by the suppliers.
Ensure proper communication with vendors and technical follow up of the orders.
Adhere to the committed man/hours and budget.
Ensure timely reporting on engineering/requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
Meet quality and HSE objectives of the project.
Interface with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering Degree with about 15 to 20 years of experience in design and execution of projects in oil and gas facilities in both offshore and onshore areas.
Ability to be proactive and ready to take on challenges.
Ability to work independently and manage the work allocated. Knowledge in software such as MS Office, SPI, AVEVA and capability to perform sizing calculations using Instrucalc or SPI.
