Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer to lead I&C construction activities on major Oil & Gas EPC projects. You will oversee site execution, testing, commissioning support, vendor coordination, and adherence to project specs and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Control/Electronics Engineering with at least 10 years of Instrumentation & Control experience, including 3 years in Oil & Gas EPC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Experience with field instruments, control systems, and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Instrumentation & Control construction activities on EPC projects.
• Organize site teams and assign responsibilities according to project schedules.

Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Construction Engineer to lead instrumentation and control construction activities on major Oil & Gas EPC projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for site execution, testing, commissioning support, vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.

YOUR ROLE

As our Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer, you will

• Lead and supervise Instrumentation & Control construction activities on EPC projects.
• Organize site teams and assign responsibilities according to project schedules and construction sequences.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, construction methodologies, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Review and identify non-conformances during construction and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and review construction method statements and work procedures.
• Supervise testing teams performing: Insulation Resistance (IR) Testing, Continuity Testing, LV Power, Control, and Instrument Cable Testing
• Support and manage activities under Work Management System (WMS) permit requirements.
• Execute and oversee calibration activities for: Differential Pressure Transmitters, Flow Transmitters, Level Transmitters, Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Transmitters, Control Valves
• Perform and supervise loop checking activities (Cold Loop & Hot Loop) for: PT, TT, LT, FT Instruments, AI, AO, DI, DO Signals, HART Communicator-Based Testing
• Review loop drawings, hook-up drawings, and instrumentation documentation.
• Supervise installation of: Air Tubing, Impulse Tubing, Instrument Junction Boxes, Field Instruments
• Conduct leak testing for pneumatic and impulse tubing systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and participate in vendor inspections, technical reviews, and document approvals.
• Provide technical support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup phases.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education / Certifications / Licenses

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Strong background in instrumentation construction, testing, commissioning, and field execution.
• Proven experience with field instruments, control systems, and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems.

Skills and Competencies

• Extensive knowledge of: Instrumentation construction techniques, Cable installation and testing, Loop checking and commissioning, Calibration procedures, Instrument hook-ups and tubing installation, Pneumatic and impulse line testing, Vendor documentation review, EPC project execution methodologies
• Ability to identify and resolve construction quality issues and project non-conformances.
• Familiarity with international oil & gas standards and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills.
