Mission
- Ensure the safe maintenance execution of Instrumentation and Control Systems, in compliance with HSE rules, legislative regulations, and international standards.
- Promote leadership in safety attitudes.
- Coordinate and supervise department activities and provide technical support to team members.
- Instruct and lead technicians regarding acceptable attitudes and behaviors.
Tasks
Maintenance Execution
- Ensure services are carried out in strict compliance with company and client HSE rules.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance operations (routine and short-term).
- Coordinate contractor personnel for smooth service execution.
- Report and advise discipline supervisor daily.
Maintenance Planning
- Implement and request logistical resources needed for maintenance, considering constraints during planning and execution.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and site coordination meetings as required.
- Prepare maintenance reports for submission to the discipline supervisor.
- Manage spare parts logistics according to maintenance needs.
- Supervise stock of raw materials, PDR, consumables, and tools.
- Report progress and issues to the discipline supervisor.
- Monitor maintenance activities via Work Order systems and approve reports using CMMS tools like SAP, UNISUP, MAXIMO, DATASTREAM.
Technical Support / Methods
- Ensure the appropriateness of operating and maintenance procedures used by teams, suggesting improvements if necessary.
Improvements
- Maintain an updated list of work that can only be performed during inspections or shutdowns.
- Anticipate potential problems in the plant to prevent non-productive operations.
- Be responsible for on-site teams, including:
- Identifying training needs.
- Participating in the nationalization plan.
- Involvement in staff appraisal and competence assessment.
- Training, coaching, and mentoring staff.
- Demonstrating safety commitment through language, behavior, and actions.
- Ensuring team compliance with safety regulations and taking corrective actions when needed.
- Implementing controls to mitigate risks and hazards.
- Monitoring performance through regular practice observations and safety compliance assessments.
- Ensuring involvement in permit-to-work systems, verifying safety measures, and preparing areas accordingly.
