Instrument Fitter for one of our clients in the Oil & Gas industry
Responsibilities:
- Involve in day-to-day routine tasks such as preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and modifications to meet technical specifications and safety standards.
- Assembly of LT panels.
- Quality inspection of panels and various process instruments.
- Cable laying, glandging, ferruling, termination, and loop checking of signal and control cables in field junction boxes and DCS systems.
- Satellite tuning and responsive checking of sensors.
- Calibration of pressure, level, temperature, and flow transmitters.
- Testing of control valves (hydro tests, seat leakage, body mount leakage).
- Checking insulation (IR) of valves and temperature measuring instruments (thermocouples, RTDs, temperature gauges, switches).
- Maintenance and repair of process instrumentation and control equipment.
- Maintaining calibration certificates.
- Keeping and evaluating maintenance records to execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Installation of cable ducts, trays, impulsive lines, SS tubing, copper tubing, and installation of panels, transmitters, control valves, and pressure gauges.
- Shutdown maintenance of field instruments.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Telecommunication.
- 8 years of experience in an industrial environment within the hydrocarbon or continuous process industry.
- Skilled in using industrial tools and equipment with knowledge of safety requirements.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in GCC countries.
