Job Summary
This is a physician position responsible for the overall leadership of the Imaging Institute, including leadership, operational, fiscal, and human resource management. The role involves integrating all Imaging Institute services into CCAD's strategic plan.
Physician responsibilities:
- Monitor and provide care to patients within the Imaging Institute at CCAD.
- Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Provide specific treatments and/or perform operations to treat patient medical conditions.
- Evaluate patients and document notes about their conditions for treatment records and referrals.
- Liaise with other medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality patient treatment.
- Supply, provide, and manage care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner.
- Adhere to clinical privileges, policies, and procedures of the Medical Staff.
- Ensure the quality and safety of procedures, determine technical protocols, and follow radiation safety standards as per policies.
Leadership responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic plan supporting CCAD's direction.
- Define the scope in patient care, education, and research.
- Create a vision and support members in achieving excellence.
- Recommend criteria for hiring and select qualified staff.
- Recommend resources needed and respond to shortages.
- Provide orientation and training for staff.
- Monitor practice cost-effectiveness and promote employee retention.
- Develop and update policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Participate in setting strategies and providing care in cooperation with other departments.
- Participate in Medical Executive Committee activities and assume administrative responsibilities.
- Maintain quality control programs and oversee radiology and diagnostic imaging services.
Operational responsibilities:
- Oversee resource utilization, productivity, and administrative functions.
- Evaluate the quality of patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Identify and work on performance improvement opportunities.
Fiscal responsibilities:
- Adhere to budgets and analyze variances.
- Ensure expenditures comply with policies.
Human Resources Management responsibilities:
- Participate in staffing plans and expenses.
- Perform annual reviews and monitor education and research programs.
- Recommend and arbitrate compensation adjustments.
- Recruit physician staff through careful review and selection.
Experience requirements:
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience for physicians from Tier 1 countries.
- At least 5 years for physicians from Tier 2 countries.
- Valid license/registration to practice in their country of last employment.
- Meet Maintenance of Certification requirements.
- Adhere to FANR regulations and policies for radiation safety.
- Pass radiation safety training and exams.
- Hold valid licenses for radiation device use from DoH.
- Ability to manage healthcare teams and establish effective relationships.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic preferred.
Education requirements:
MD, MBBS, MBChB, or DO from an accredited institution, with specialty qualifications as per recognized standards.
