Job Summary:
Undertake checking, repair, fixing, installation of home furnishing items at warehouse and/or at customer premises as well as assist in daily activities of warehouse including loading, offloading, labelling, stacking, picking, counting, checking and other routine warehouse activities as assigned by supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Qualitative checking of all the home furnishing items in 100%, undertaking the minor repairs, touch-ups and reporting major damages to supervisor.
- Major repair of items as and when approved by the supervisor or store.
- Pre-fixing of items at warehouse and showroom as and when required.
- Re-wiring all the electrical works, changing bulb and checking the correct electrical load.
- Quantitative checking of the delivery items before loading as per delivery orders, loading the trucks and accompany the drivers on delivery trucks for customer s home deliveries or warehouse deliveries.
- Communicate nicely, understand customer s requirements, install the items appropriately to offer high standard of customer service.
- Fixing and installation of items as per customer s and/or designer s instructions.
- Maintaining the good quality of the items during fixing and cleaning the area after the installation.
- Report to supervisor / inventory executive about any damage during the delivery, any requirement from customer unable to fulfil or anything goes against the delivery plan.
- Keep a record of equipment and consumables required for repairs and report to supervisor for re-ordering or new requisitions.
- Assisting warehouse staff for loading, unloading, checking of items, compressing and other day to day operations or as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assisting on Painting Jobs if necessary at the store level, Warehouse level or customer home if necessary as instructed by the Inventory executive.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards for tidiness, cleanliness and safety of warehouse and ground working area execution.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Luxury Retail, Furniture, Lifestyle.
