Job summary

Hitachi Energy HVDC Installation Department is seeking an on-site supervisor to oversee high voltage installation activities across global projects in Abu Dhabi. You will coordinate with the Installation Manager and engineering office to ensure documentation is used on site and provide mark-ups for as-built documentation.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of relevant experience, technical education in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Technical Education preferably with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or have acquired previous experience in electrical- or mechanical installation work in large scale projects.
• At least 4-6 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Experience of installation supervision is advantageous.
• Previous HVDC or Substation projects are preferred.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installations on site (both AC and DC) in high voltage installation global projects.
• Manage and guide subcontractors to ensure completion of installation activities efficiently and cost-effectively in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Contribute to planning and implementation of installation activities.
• Coordinate the installation activities with the Installation Manager / Site Manager.
• Coordinate with engineering office to ensure needed documentation is used at site during execution and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
• Maintain good relationships to internal and external suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

You will be part of the Hitachi Energy HVDC Installation Department which is responsible for execution of all mechanical and electrical installation activities in our delivery projects across the world. The department also support tendering and sales in providing technical input and the department aids the engineering office in developing the design. Your background
